DIY Fluids Available For You

Are you the car DIY type, find yourself needing to work on your car and looking at some regular maintenance?

Is it time for your spring time vehicle fluid flush: engine oil, transmission fluid, differential, brake fluid and hydraulic system?

We can supply a variety of vehicle specific fluids, let us know what your are looking for specifically, and we should be able to help.

We do stock OE Subaru, Mitsubishi, Kia or Honda engine oil filters, if you need a filter and we currently do not stock it, if our suppliers are still working we can add that to your request.

Most of our fluids are high quality Gulf synthetic products, but we also carry other brands.
Motor oils cover road to race car applications, and are available in fully synthetic Gulf Ultrasynth 0W-20, Gulf Formula G 5W-40, Gulf Racing 5W-50. Gulf Competition 15W-50 and for regular motor oil we have the Gulf Max X 5W-30, Performance Plus 5W-30 and Performance Plus synthetic blend 10W-30.

Brake fluids are regular Gulf DOT4 and Gulf Competition RF800.

Gear oil is available as Gulf Syngear 75W-90 and Gulf Competition gear oil in 75W-90 LS and 75W140 LS.

ATF comes in Gulf ATF, Performance Plus ATF and Total H3 ATF options(some is compatible with your power steering needs).

Finally, our power steering/CHF fluids include synthetic Gulf CHF Synth and Febi Bilstein 06162 mineral based (green) fluid(mostly German vehicle applications) .

So if you are bleeding brakes, simply topping up or doing an oil change in your garage we have the fluids and parts that you need.

As promised, we are cleaning out our closet of various motorsports shirts and tops in an effort to raise some funds for a very important cause.

In the attached gallery are all the items that we have available for you. We are asking for a minimum $10 donation per item to be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada and we here at Four Star Motorsports-Sprongl will cover the shipping to you within Canada and the USA. Alzheimer's is an issue that has effected us and people we know, and seems to be a growing issue. We are trying to help support the Alzheimer Society of Canada and all the work they do.

Brembo Big Brake Kits For Tesla

Some Tesla vehicles have ludicrous mode for some added performance. But do they have ludicrous mode for braking to help control the car?

The good people @brembobrake have come up with big brake packages for the Model S and Model 3 for street, track or race use. The fronts have cast or billet monobloc 6 piston calipers and choice of cross drilled, slotted or Type 3 two piece rotors. The rear offerings only come in cross drilled two piece rotors and 4 piston cast or billet monobloc calipers.

A variety of color options are available as well, giving you some choice on how you want your electric ride to look.

Behold the process of making custom carbon fiber intercooler pipes. These pieces will be going onto a MkIV Toyota Supra 2JZ twin turbo project for a customer.

The carbon fiber is so light yet so strong that it almost defies logic.

Targa Newfoundland 2018 Recap

Another year, another Targa Newfoundland.

This was an interesting year, with a crash during the prologue, some chilly temps and rain some days. As with any motoring event, there were some cars that didn’t survive the full event.

Congratulations go out to Four Star Motorsports friend and customer Mark Rittenhouse. He piloted his MItsubishi EVO X to a first place finish, leading the entire event. Of course Dan Sprongl was there as service crew for him. Dan even won an award for great service crew for his help of other competitors. The famous Jim Kenzie took part as well in the Four Star prepared Nissan Juke.

It seems like a fun time was had by all that competed in this years event.

Rallying In Mexico - Chihuahua Express Recap

From April 19-22, Four Star Motorsports friend and customer Mark Rittenhouse competed in his Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X at the Chihuahua Express rally event covering 1670km around the Chihuahua, Mexico area. Mark placed 1st in his class and 4th overall in a field of over 40 participants . He had the help of Mark Laitenberger as his co-driver and Dan Sprongl as his service crew. Mark managed to keep the car out of any danger and avoided the need for any major repairs, which can be difficult over the 1,600+ km (all on the well performing Pirelli Trofeo R tire) the cars travel during the event.

Speedline Wheels For Fords Available At Four Star Motorsports?

/

Yes, you have read correctly. We are now able to order Speedline 2118 and 2120 wheels for the Ford Fiesta and Ford Focus. These are the same wheels used on the Ford Fiesta R1 and R2 rally cars in Europe. For gravel and snow, they suggest the 2118 wheel (the one in the picture) and it is available in 6x15 (gravel) 5.5x16 (snow), ET40 and ET31.5 offsets with the 5x108 bolt pattern. For tarmac, they suggest the 2120 wheel in 6.5x16, ET31.5 offset. The bolt pattern means these wheels will fit the Ford Focus ST as well. We can even get these wheels in the 4x108 older bolt pattern.

The AP racing caliper in the picture below is Ford focused as well. We are working to develop a gravel brake package for the Ford Focus ST. We will keep you all up to date on when that will be available.
